Education ministry of Kuwait is being encouraged to present new motivations fortechnical roles after Kuwaiti employees were reportedly scared off by the workload.
Final conclusion on the incentives forces offered for jobs including therapists and accountants was desperately required after a staff lack following an administration decision to terminate expat workers, reported Kuwait times.
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is enacting a government plan to slowly eliminate expats from public sector roles, with plans to lay off in excess of 44,5000 foreign workers and replace them with citizens in the upcoming years.
The publication said Kuwaitis named to replace expat workers in technical jobs at the Ministry of Education were “scared off” by the measure of work in return for what was considered a “low salary".
"This made 329 out of 379 Kuwaiti citizens expected that would graduate as social laborers and psychiatrists search out different employments, leaving just 50 who looked for MoE occupations," a source told the publication.
"MoE used to have more than 300 accountants and this number has radically dropped." according to sources said they needed salaries expanded for the influenced positions to address the problem.
