Apple may launch iPhone 2018 on Sept 12, pre-orders to start on Sept 14

Apple is expected to launch three new iPhones this year. While the 6.1-inch screen variant is expected to be an entry-level device, the other two variants sporting a screen size of 5.8-inches and 6.46-inches are expected to feature top-of-the-line features. Notably, the rumours so far have only shed light on the features that are likely to make to the end device. But now, a new report has given details about the date when the device is likely to be available for pre-orders.

 

According to the information sourced by German site Macerkopf.de from two German telecom operators, Apple is likely to unveil the three iPhones on September 12 at an event at the Steve Jobs Theatre in California and the devices are expected to be available for pre-orders starting September 14. The report further states that the newly launched devices will go on sale from September 21.

Meanwhile, the internet is buzzing with interesting details about Apple's upcoming smartphones. Reports suggest that premium version of the iPhones are likely to called iPhone XS and iPhone XS Plus and are expected to feature support for a stylus, that is, the Apple Pencil. This integration is likely to help the Cupertino-based tech company compete with Samsung Galaxy Note 9, which was launched earlier this month.

In terms of the features, the successor to Apple's iPhone X-iPhone XS and iPhone XS Plus-are expected to run on the company's A12 Bionic chipset and feature 4GB RAM along with the famous FaceID feature. Reports further suggest that both the smartphones are likely to be available in three memory variants-- 64GB, 256GB and 512GB. In terms of the pricing, while the 5.8-inch OLED screen model is likely to be priced around $899, the 6.46-inch OLED screen variant is likely to start at $999.

As far as the budget variant is concerned, it is expected to sport 3GB RAM and be available in two memory variants-- 64GB and 256GB. Reports also suggest that it could cost anywhere between $650 and $800.
