Genuine Madrid have reappointed Zinedine Zidane as mentor on a three-year bargain in the wake of sacking Santiago Solari, the Liga club said on Monday, following their exit from the Champions League.
"Genuine Madrid's load up met today and chose to end the agreement connecting Santiago Solari to the club as first group mentor and, in the meantime, have offered to keep him at the club," Madrid said in an announcement.
"The board have named Zinedine Zidane as the new mentor to be consolidated promptly for whatever remains of the period and the following three, until June 30, 2022."
Frenchman Zidane won an uncommon three continuous Champions League titles with the Spanish monsters before leaving in May a year ago, with his substitution Julen Lopetegui sacked in October and Solari enduring a little more than four months in control.
Madrid were wiped out from the Champions League in the last 16 by Ajax Amsterdam on Tuesday after two Clasico overcomes by Barcelona, thumping Real out of the Copa del Rey and abandoning them 12 uncontrolled of the Catalan alliance pioneers. (Announcing by Rik Sharma; altering by Ken Ferris)
