World's largest kite will be flown in Qatar on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Al Daayen shoreline after Dhuhr supplication, trying to enter the Guinness Book of Records.
Kite is made with colours of Qatar national flag with an image of His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani as per the peninsula qatar reported.
Kite named is "Al Majd kite" ( (The glory kite) is the brainchild of Qatari writer Husain Al Khayarin. The huge kite, which estimates 2,673 square meters was tried in Beijing, China.
"This activity is a part of my fantasy to enter Qatar's name in Guinness Book through some business related to the Qatar National Day. I am attempting to make this blessing from dream by flying the largest kite in the skies of Doha carrying flag of Qatar and the picture of HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani," Al Khayarin's tweet in Arabic, reported the peninsula qatar.
