Online registration to be compulsory for Indians coming on employment visa

Indian citizens holding Non-Emigration Check Required (non-ECR or ECNR) identifications will now to need to compulsorily enroll themselves online before making a trip to 18 nations, including Qatar, on a business visa, as indicated by another warning issued by India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

The choice has been taken to "give assurance and welfare to Indian travelers abroad", the warning – which is accessible on the site of the Indian international safe haven in Qatar - states.

The enrollment must be finished on the gateway, www.emigrate.gov.in, somewhere around 24 hours before takeoff. The individuals who neglect to enroll won't be permitted to go to these 18 nations – Qatar, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, Thailand, the UAE and Yemen – for business beginning January 1, 2019, the MEA has said.

"Off-stacking of unregistered non-ECR displaced people at the airplane terminals would be affected by the fitting specialist after January 1, 2019," the warning keeps, including that there is no change in existing techniques for all other visa classifications.

A few reports proposed that the new guideline applies just to those Indians who are traveling to these nations out of the blue on a business visa.

Prior, just holders of Emigration Check Required (ECR) visas were required to get earlier endorsement before making a trip to these 18 nations.
