As part of Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) commitment to ensuring patients and visitors have access to convenient parking, new temporary parking arrangements at Hamad General Hospital are being introduced.
From Sunday, 2 September 2018 the following changes to parking arrangements will take effect at Hamad General Hospital:
- The parking area directly in front of the main entrance to Hamad General Hospital will be reserved for the exclusive use of patients and visitors. A small area will be designated for valet parking.
- The multi-story parking facility next to the Hamad General Hospital Outpatient Department is to be used by staff. This parking facility is also available to patients and visitors as overflow parking if hospital parking is full.
- The parking areas at Hamad General Hospital that are designated for HMC clinicians can only be accessed by pass holders and will only be available to clinical staff between 5 am and 2 pm. After 2 pm each day, these areas will be unlocked and open for patient and visitor parking, where appropriate. At 5 am each day these areas will again be locked and open only to pass holders (clinical staff). Cars remaining in these parking areas after 5 am without a pass will receive a fine from the Ministry of Interior’s Traffic Department.
