HMC announced its operating hours for Eid Al Adha holiday

Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has announced its operating hours for the upcoming Eid Al Adha holidays. All emergency and inpatient services across HMC’s network of hospitals will operate as usual, 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week.

“Every day across our hospital network our teams deliver high-quality care to thousands of patients, and as always, this Eid will be no different. Many of our outpatient departments will close for the Eid holiday, but clinical teams in all of our hospitals will continue to provide the highest levels of patient care in our Emergency Departments and across many essential services throughout this holiday period. On behalf of everyone at HMC, I would like to wish you and your family a safe and healthy Eid Mubarak,” said Mr. Ali Abdullah Al Khater, Chief Communications Officer at HMC and Chair of the Ministry of Public Health’s Healthcare Communications Committee.

The Emergency Department at Heart Hospital (for cardiac patients only) and the Urgent Care Unit at the National Center for Cancer Care and Research (NCCCR) (for patients with symptoms associated with ongoing cancer treatments) will operate as per normal timings, as will the Emergency Department of the Women’s Wellness and Research Center.

Dialysis services will also operate as per normal timings, as will the Pediatric Emergency Centers, which will remain open 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week for medical emergencies involving patients under the age of 14 years.

The majority of Outpatient Departments (OPD) will be closed on Sunday, 19 August and will re-open on Sunday, 26 August. When OPD clinics are open, they will be supported by administrative and clinical support services, including pharmacies.

The NCCCR’s Radiotherapy Unit will remain open during its regular hours of 7am to 3pm, Sunday to Thursday. The Day Care Unit will be closed on 21 and 22 August.

If you have a scheduled appointment during the Eid holiday and cannot attend the appointment, please contact the Hamad Customer Service Center (Nesma’ak) on 16060. Any patient requiring information about clinic operating hours, their scheduled appointment, or wishing to change their appointment, can call Nesma’ak on 16060. Nesma’ak will be open Sunday, 19 August and Monday, 20 August from 8am to 7pm and will be closed from Tuesday to Thursday, 21 August to 23 August, reopening on Friday, 24 August from 2pm to 10pm.
