Abdalelah Haroun has won first gold medal for Qatar in the 400m race at the 2018 Asian Games on Sunday, Jakarta.
He won the 400m race in 44.89 seconds ahead of Indian Muhammed Anas Yahiya who took 45.69 to complete the race. Bahrain’s Ali Khamis took the bronze.
Fares Elbakh had won a silver yesterday in weightlifting. He set history by snatching the silver medal in the men's 94kg class at the Asian Games today.
With this gold Qatar now has 3 medals – one gold, one silver and a bronze won by shooter Hamad Ali Al Marri.
