This service enables citizens and their children under 16 years old to submit an online request to the Ministry of Interior (MOI) in order to issue or renew Qatari documents, or reissue lost or damaged ones, such as a Qatari ID and a passport.
Online Instructions
- Login with your smartcard to MOI e-services portal.
- Select “Qatari Citizen Services” then “Qatari Documents”.
- Enter all the required information and pay appropriate fees.
Offline Instructions
- Download and fill out the application form.
- To issue a new passport, you should attach two personal photos, QID copy, and the birth certificate copy for those who don’t have QID.
- In case of issuing a new passport for children, QID copy of the father and mother should be submitted, in addition to the birth certificate, and marriage contract.
- To issue a new QID, two personal photos should be submitted for those who are less than 12 years old, in addition to their original passport and a copy of it, blood type certificate, birth certificate copy, parents’ QID copy, and guardians’ approval.
- To renew the QID, you should bring your current QID card. Two personal photos should be submitted for applicants above 65 years old.
- Pay applicable fees.

- The user shall own a smart card to use the service.
- This service can be obtained any time, once the user completes the transaction.
- This service is also available on Metrash2 mobile app.
- The applicant should come in person if he/she is 12 years old or more (for the first time).
- Elders who are above 65 years old are not obliged to come in person to renew their QID.
