Manpower ministry extends ban on work permits for some jobs

Oman's Ministry of Manpower has been extended ban on some jobs for expats according to TimesofOman.

Affected professions are those of purchase and sales representatives, and workers for construction, cleaning, and workshops, meaning that companies  will never again have the capacity to get allows with the end goal to utilize individuals for this employments.

As indicated by the Ministry of Manpower's choice number 487 of the year 2018, "Grants for non-Omani labor will stop to be discharged for the following a half year for the accompanying callings: Sales Representative/Promoter, Purchase Representative. Grants for substitutions for existing workers will keep on being discharged."

According to Ministerial Decision No. 122/2014, the occupations are among the workshops of carpentry, aluminum, blacksmithing and brick factories.
