Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) warns thundery rain with sudden strong wind at places today in Qatar.
An unstable weather is expected which will last for five days from today, where the country will witness rainfall, low temperature and dust storm, QMD said.
It will be relatively hot during the day and scattered clouds with chance of rain is expected at some places.

Due to this unstable weather conditions in Qatar, sea riders have been advised to take caution especially during afternoon and evening time where thunderstorms are likely to form, the Department warned.
The wind gust has reached yesterday 40kt at Hamad International Airport (HIA) and 37kt in Doha due to downdraft winds associated with thunderstorms.
“Aa per the climate records for Doha in October, we have recorded strong wind gust reaching 51 kt in 1977 in Doha,” said the Qatar Meteorology Department in a statement.
“Thundery cells are available in the sky of some areas in the country due to downdraft winds which reached 25kt causing dust storm in open area,” said weather expert while speaking at a programme of Al Rayan TV on weather change.
He said that in this season the country witnessed rain which is help grow agricultural products.
