The State of Qatar has hailed the objective and positive attitudes of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) towards the negative repercussions and human rights violations resulting from the unjust siege and unilateral measures that the country has been subject to in June last year.
The country also expressed hope that the Office of the High Commissioner and the Human Rights Council would continue to pay attention to this issue and take serious and effective measures to end these violations, as reported by The Peninsula.
Speaking on behalf of Qatar was Ambassador His Excellency Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, the Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Office in Geneva at the 28th special session of the Human Rights Council to discuss the updated statement of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.
Meanwhile, Qatar also condemned the continuing violations and crimes committed by the Israeli entity against the Palestinian people.
Ambassador Al Mansouri stressed the importance of the seventh chapter on the agenda of the Human Rights Council, considering that attempts to marginalise or cancel it only encourage the occupation to continue violations of international law.
