Summer Entertainment City (SEC), which is the biggest indoor entertainment hub, features over 140 retail shops—apart from the 75+ entertainment attractions at the humongous Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC). 

Another worth-checking out area at the 29,000 m2 ground floor of the DECC is a premium shopping experience called 'Summer Shopping Souq' as reported by The Peninsula.

 

Foodies can soothe their taste buds with more than 40 culinary outlets onboard. \\

In this regard, Adil Ahmed, the founder of QSports and Board Member said the souq is getting increasingly popular among visitors. 

The top 5 items that is worth buying at Summer Entertainment City's promising Summer Shopping Souq are as follows:

1. Fabrics & garments

If you’re looking for some beautiful and handmade garments, then SEC is your choice. There is a stall which sells clothes from Thailand boasts an attractive display of products with prices ranging from 55 QR to 500 QR.

2. Paintings & artworks

The next thing that one can look for is a unique and exquisite piece of art or HH the Emir’s face splattered on high quality canvas. About four stalls showcase the best of world art while not forgetting to give homage to the diverse culture of Qatar and the GCC region in general.

3. Jeweleries

SEC also displays a wide range of gold an silver products that comes directly from India and many other countries.

4. Toys & handicrafts

And why not kids get something too? Some of the most useful toys can be found inside DECC, especially in Chinese stores.

5. Spices & sweets

SEC’s soup area  sells homemade items such as olive oil, jam, chili sauce, and za'atar. Besides this, there are food stalls which offer free dates for tasting on different varieties.

As a matter of fact, SEC is already on its 5th year and is open daily from 2pm to 11pm. Entry ticket costs QR15 and a day pass is available for QR150. Individual game prices range from QR10 to QR35. The festival will continue until August 31.

The 75-day event promises to be the biggest indoor entertainment facility in Qatar.
