Kerala’s Kochi airport, which was shut down on August 15 due to heavy rain and floods in the south Indian state, will resume operations Wednesday at 2pm, the airport owner CIAL (Cochin International Airport Limited) said Tuesday.
All carriers, both household and worldwide, will take after the present calendar for tasks, CIAL said in a report.
"Hint with respect to the status of the airplane terminal has been given to all aircrafts to ensure the smooth working of the administrations according to plan" CIAL said.
Qatar Airways and Indian transporters – Air India Express, Jet Airways and IndiGo – work non-stop flights amongst Doha and Kochi.
Following the conclusion of the Kerala's biggest airplane terminal at Nedumbassery, close Kochi, Qatar Airways rerouted its flights - QR516 and QR517 amongst Doha and Kochi (Nedumbassery) to Thiruvananthapuram International Airport.
Air India Express occupied its Kochi flights to Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode.
