In a positive move, the construction of the new campus of Doha College at Al Wajbah has been officially inaugurated.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by British ambassador Ajay Sharma, Doha College principal Dr Steffen Sommer, Commercial Bank Group CEO Joseph Abraham, Domopan (main contractor) CEO Fouad Hamdan and other prominent partners associated with the project, as reported by Gulf Times.
Commercial Bank CEO Joseph Abraham said that Qatar’s National Vision 2030 includes amongst its goals, the creation of a world-class education system delivering a first-rate education, adding that Commercial Bank is proud to support the vision through the financing of major projects in the education sector.
He further added that Doha College has been one of the bank’s customers for just over 20 years now and is not only one of the leading schools in Qatar, but has been a pillar of the community since its founding in 1980.
On the other hand , Ajay Sharma said Doha College has been a long-standing provider of quality education to the British and other international communities in Qatar.
