As much as 59 tonnes of dates have been sold at the ongoing third local dates festival since its launch on July 19, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME).
The festival was attended by as many as 19,000 people, as reported by MME.
Moreover, around 11 tonnes of dates were sold on the fifth day of the event.
Of the total 11,622kg sold, Khalas dates accounted for 7,199kg, Khanizi 1,892kg, Shishi 1,712kg, Barhi 588kg, and other varieties, 231kg.
